WHAT WE DO
Poppy is a brand born out of dissatisfaction with the everyday essentials available to hardworking medical professionals. Created by a nurse—because who else can understand what you need and how you work?
We made it our mission to develop products with greater functionality and a better fit. High quality fabric, durability, and the most functional and beautiful scrubs you will ever wear.
DESIGNAt Poppy, we have worked tirelessly to develop a product that aligns with the busy medical professionals work and life. We designed a fabric that is as stretchy as it is supportive, and we aim to create a functional and comfortable experience all day (or all night).
Our scrubs are designed in California and made in the USA. We aim to achieve the highest quality while remaining as eco-conscious as possible.
Poppy products are shipped in recycled, and re-usable poly bags, in an effort to minimize the creation of more micro trash. Our hang tags are 100% recycled paper.
At poppy, we believe scrubs should be as beautiful as they are functional. Fashion designers don't design for functionality. Shouldn't nurses be designing your workwear? Who knows what you do better than someone else who does it too?
WHO WE ARE
Poppy is the state flower of California. It is a wild flower blooming mainly in the summer months. Long before the Europeans came to the New World, the Native American peoples used various preparations of the California Poppy plant for toothaches, to relieve headaches and stomach aches, and as a sleep aid for children. Our co-founder Natalie is an active Pediatric ICU nurse and while the California Poppy is no longer used as medicine, she continues the practice of caring for sick children today.
We're both California natives spending ample time outdoors while growing up, enjoying all the beautiful things California has to offer. We set our sights on creating a brand that combines both our passions, and helps those who selflessly help others. The more we shared our daily challenges with everyday service, the more motivated we were to try to create a change. After lots of talk (and even more work, research, testing, and refinement), Poppy was born and named for the place where we’ve always had our roots.
